ME7 MapSwitch: what the tool does

What you can do

Up to three extra setups next to the stock map, four maps in total
Each map has its own boost, ignition and fuelling, you fill the copies in WinOLS
The download includes a mappack with the addresses of every new map
Display times: how long the rev counter shows the map and how long the engine light flashes

How to switch in the car

Four brake presses within one second, or the cruise control
The rev counter shows the selected map for the time you set

Description

ME7.x Mapswitch

The ME7 Mapswitch adds switchable maps to Bosch ME7.x control units as used in many VAG petrol engines, for example the 1.8T and the 2.7T. The tool patches the switching logic into the original software; the maps themselves are edited in WinOLS or a comparable editor afterwards.

The active map is selected with the pedals or the cruise control lever and indicated by the engine warning lamp and the rev counter. Display times and the speed limit for switching are configurable. The file is locked to the vehicle identification number.
